Germany's wingers, like Marko Marin, have their sights set on tearing apart Australia's defense in their World Cup opener this weekend.
Germany's wingers on Thursday revealed their plan to pepper the Australian defence with enough crosses to 'tear them apart' in Sunday's World Cup clash.
The Socceroos and the Germans, who are favourites to win Group D, meet at Durban Stadium in their opening game of the tournament this weekend.
Germany are set to use a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Cologne's Lukas Podolski likely to start on the left wing with Mesut Oezil playing just behind the striker and Hamburg's Piotr Trochowski on the right.
But Bremen's Marko Marin could also play a role having proven his worth off the bench in Germany's warm-up win against Bosnia last week with a series of darting runs which stretched the defence.
Debate is raging in Germany whether Miroslav Klose, the top scorer at the last World Cup, or Stuttgart's Cacau will start as Germany's lone striker, but either way, the wingers plan to supply the frontman with plenty of ball.
